Atrium 55 Black Outdoor Speakers For a BARN
Looking at putting 6 of these in a barn, would this work well or should I look at doing something else? also what would I need to have all 6 working at the same time? since this is not a surround sound setup it would be just for back ground music.. and would want equal power to all 6 speakers..
Thanks...
Thanks...

If you're using a preamp/amp, a simple rca splitter would do the trick...I've done this for 2 channels on each side, but you would be looking to do 3 channels on each side. I'm sure the shack or some online vendor would have a 3 to 1 cable. Otherwise you would probably be looking at a Niles speaker selector to evenly distribute the power.
Let me know when you're gonna wheel the kegs into the barn.... -
Or you could use an amp designed for whole house distribution, with the one input and then output to several speaker sets. Sorry I don't have a suggestion for an exact model, but I think Parts Express or Monoprice carries something like that."Don't forget to change your politician. They are like diapers they need to be changed regularly, and for the same reason."

PE does have a nice Dayton 12 channel amp for under 4 bills. If you want, find some Audiosource AMP100's, they are stereo amps, with level control, and feature a pass through so you 'daisy chain' as many of as you like.

6 speakers total (3pairs)? or 6pairs?
As for power, I say just get a decent cheap 7.1 HT receiver and run in all 'all channels' mode -

this is very close to what I want on my back porch project.
I am thinking a good old Adcom or NAD or similar power amp, overkill in some ways, but better to have too much power.
if the plan was for even number of pairs of speakers, I would just wire them all for a final 8 ohm load.
with the 3 pairs I am thinking an Adcom speaker selector switch with the protection circuits.Dodd - Battery Preamp
