MIT Terminator 4 speaker cables

Anyone had any experience with these....I believe they are a discontinued product from MIT and there are a used pair available locally. I currently run MIT EXP1's, but the Terminator 4's would be a step up.

My biggest concern would be they are used, thus not covered under the factory warranty. The other MIT cables I have been looking at are new AVT series, which would be covered by the warranty.

And why buy new cables you may be asking? - I am contemplating building a
2nd dedicated music system. Thoughts?

The new AVT series and older Terminator series are very similar. No worries buying used MIT's except the usual concerns with buying used gear. Know the seller, know the condition, etc, etc.

I love my Terminator II's and the Terminator series is really what put MIT on the map. Since you have EXP's the Terminator and AVT would be a step up but if I were choosing and I had the $$$ I'd choose the AVT's. But if the T4's are a super deal and you can save some $$$ go for those.

Thanks. Would you say there would be synergies to sticking with MIT ICs also? If I build this 2nd system (after the divorce;)), I would like to get all the components mapped out in my mind, then start looking for deals, sales, etc. on what I want. The starting point would be my current CDP...

With the T4's you will notice a little more bass energy than with the EXp 1's. That's because they were designed back in the 90's to work well with the equipment of the era... which typically lacked the bass that most of us enjoy today.

With modern equipment, though, they may be a bit bass heavy. See if you can try them on your rig before you buy. If it were me, I'd look for a good deal on AVt's over buying the T4's. Either way you go, enjoy the ride!
