Movie and music information database question

I read a thread on here a while back about software programs where you could scan a barcode on DVD's, CD's, and other media and it automatically entered the track listing and loads of information into a database type format to help manage your collection. You could then print out list of what movies or CD's you had to help keep up with them.
I am having no luck finding the thread:o
