I'm cheap. I have $15 in my paypal account and need some sound deadener for a speaker build, preferably in sheet form. Can you help me?

Polyfill or a Mattress pad from Wal-Mart. You can get loose Polyfill in bags, or sheets in the crafts department.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I need the Dynamat type to deaden my drivers.

I bet I have some chunks left over in my closet. What speakers do you have? -
Go to your local auto body repair and they'll probably give you a couple of good squares from panel replacements. It's where I get mine.

I think you can get a 2"x 2" square of Dynamat for $15.00~TNRabbit

What are you deadening, the horns or the cabinet?"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Horns, woofers, and passive radiators; I think that will be enough.
-
Passives should be left alone.
-
I believe he's referring to the frame of the drivers only. Jake, they're stamped, correct?"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Yes, stamped basket with thin spokes. The baskets look almost identical to the Polk ones.
-
IF possible leave the passive in and access it from the front to do the sound deadening. The passives are not available, frames warp easily, and there's sharp edges from the stamping that can/will cut into the surround.
Inspect them closely . -

Bump. Anyone else have any extra dynamat type material laying around?
-
How much do you need. I have a some left over, but need some to do my 2B's. I probably have about 2/3 of an 18" X 32" sheet left, but the 2B's won't take much I don't think.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

I bought some Fatmat on eBay for about 20 shipped. Put it all over the backs of my bookcases' thin backing boards. I actually may have a piece left. For Sale 2019:
