I've heard it's actually stupidly funny. Then again, the bar is so low for SNL-based movies that it has to be better by comparison.

And I agree... Kristen Wiig... kinda' hot. ;)

Haven't seen the movie yet... I used to think Kristen Wiig was hot, but have any of you seen the Lawrence Welk sketch where she's all forehead and stumpy arms swatting at the bubbles??? I can't even think of that without going all noodley.

BAH HA HA HA! The Lawrence Welk skit is the greatest! Wiig and Andy Samberg are the only reasons I bother watching SNL anymore.

I just saw a trailer for it and I told my wife that looks like they should call it Mac suck a goober. Instead of using all that money to make a retarded movie like that they should put it toward a worthwhile cause like feeding starving children.

I love SNL based movies, and I think this one should be great! The old Macgrubber skits were always hilarious!

Good point. I usually have to get his opinion of a movie before I can watch it. Hopefully his review will be another one of those ones that's chock full of spoilers, so you can't read the review before you watch the movie.;)

go to Hulu if you can and look for a new one he has called its a great day, or to some extent that.....its an SNL digital short but I laughed pretty hard. I own their CD will the video clips and love what he does because its just right up there for my type of humor.

and I do want to see this movie, I used to watch McGiver (er whatever for spelling) as a kid so I want to see how bad they make fun of it.

(plus my friends and I love to quote stupid movies, Tropic Thunder, Anchor Man, Old School, ect so we need some new material)

Count me in, I've seen all that stuff even though its real lame-ball humour. Can't get Hulu from this side but I'll keep that in mind when I get back home!

44 inch chest? I'm going to have to google that?

The great thing about a comedy that only cost you $10 million is that you're almost guaranteed to make your money back. They'll actually make quite a profit off of this, even if it sucks.

    I'll wait for video.

According to boxofficemojo.com, this movie has yet to recoup its production cost of $10 million. This doesn't even include the cost of marketing it, which typically is about the same amount as the production cost itself.
