Question on RT25i crossovers

Hi, I just bought a pair of RT25i speakers on ebay, always read they had a good reputation, wanted to try them. Anyway the seller noted the crossovers have been updated to POLK AUDIO PART # REO527-2, I've searched and have found nothing about this upgrade. I checked and that is the part number on the crossovers in the speakers.

To me the speakers sound Ok, not great. Just curious what effect this mod has.

    They're decent sounding speakers...but nothing too special IMO. A friend of mine has a pair of them that I've tried in my 2 channel rig before.

    They're not bad. Some people speak very highly of them, but I wasn't too fond of them. I could see them being very nice HT speakers though.

    I've never heard of the mod you're referring to.

    Probably just means he blew the crossovers at one point...
