Denon DP-52F

Just picked up one of these for the beginning of my trip down the slippery slope of vinyl. First time I have had vinyl playing since 1992 when I soldf all 4,000+ albums to a place in denver. Of course I have regreted it ever since and am getting back into it in a very limited manner, really!!

Anyway, was wondering if anyone has an owners manual they could copy for me. Also, the lid will not stay open on its own unless it's fully open. so is that a sign of bad hinge springs or is that the way it always was?

    I also have a DP-52F. The lid will stay open at about 90 percent opened, but less than that it will close by itself. I have not found a user manual yet, but there is alot of good info if you google it. The important thing to watch for is to balance the tone arm with the stylus force and q-damping at zero. then set both to the same setting and your good to go.

    I HAD one of these and loved it. The rosewood plinth was stunning.

    Thanks to both of you...was hoping I could adjust something, oh well...any owner manuals laying around? and yep, its a stunner. sound wise its very nice also with the dl-160 cartridge also...
