    Be careful though. This is the deal six months ago that got me started . Will this afliction for better and better sounding systems EVER end? They are great speakers. And Newegg is great to deal with. Darryl

    I agree. It never ends. It sure is a lot of fun while it last. With my 505 i see no advantage in upgrading my m60`s to m70`s. The only reason i would consider the m70`s is because it has sub-woofer, with my 505 its more then i need for the bass.. If anyone know`s of an advantage please post. Thanks

    This is as low as I have seen them lately and I don't see how they could get much lower. Great deal on great speakers.

    That will be the way I feel next week when the cherries go on sale. :eek: That is what I really wanted but I can't pass this up at $149. I might even leave them sealed for a few weeks and see if the cherries will be on sale for the same price and then sell the blacks on ebay.

    I have m60`s with a 505 sub. i have no need for m70`s but for the price i was going to buy them and sell my 60`s. Thanks to newegg for selling out before i could order these. I was on the fence about buying these. I`m happy with the 60`s .I can put in a price alert on newegg. It will give me time to come up with a good reason that i need these , a reason that my wife will understand.

    I already have 2 pair of 70s in my living room and a pair of 60s in my bedroom. If they put the 70s in cherry on sale at that price, I might have to bust down the walls and expand my living room another 10 feet and make it 3 pair.

    Got my blacks today. One day shipping, cool. It helps to live only about 100 miles from Memphis. Both NewEgg and Buy.com ship a lot of stuff out of that depot. No damage courtesy of UPS.

    I also got the email about the cherries. I bet they go for the same price and I don't know if I can resist.

    I can't believe I missed this deal!! My laptop was down and I finally got it reloaded and then find this out...needless to say I'm not a happy camper! I just bought 4 Monitor 40s, 1 CS2 and the PSW505 Sub. My intent was to wait a little for the 70s to drop in price...and I missed it! I tried to order just now but the code doesn't work. Does anyone know when this deal will be back on or if the black model will also be on sale with the cherry one this Sunday? Was this a shell shock deal or something?? I mean I just finished up my order with the PSW505 this past Sunday (5/16)...but I ordered the Monitors the day before. I didn't see this posted anywhere on the site at all...I'll call them tomorrow and try to act irate, but I don't know how far I'll get.

    You and me both. I ordered almost my whole setup for 9.1, I just ordered a pair of OWM3s for my rear surrounds. I just hope it mates up well with the 4 Monitor 40s, CS2 & PSW505 I ordered. BTW...These things are HUGEEEEE! The CS2 is slightly bigger than my old receiver!! The Monitor 40s are pretty beefy too.

    Welcome to Club Polk Everyone!!

    M-70s and their supporting cast along with good amplification will do a VERY good job for HT...so good in fact, that they ONLY thing you should think about 'upgrading' is your TWO CHANNEL system.

    Home Theater is easy...and those 70s can last you a long time unless you want to POUND your room with ear-damaging noise and need to hear fleas biting dogs! Personally I'll never understand why people spend upwards of 100K on HT. I've heard those systems and, yeah, they're good. But they're nothing compared to a great two channel IMHO. And M-70s or TSI-500s can anchor a pretty respectable HT. Now the VIDEO is something else..knock yourself out. Pioneer Kuros or JVC projectors, and 100+ inch screens, etc. That's an UPGRADE!

    Speaking of video I just pulled the trigger on a samsung 63" 3D plasma/3d blu ray combo & a set of OWM3s to mate up with my setup(Not installing anything until I get a set of the M70s though!)...now the only way I can pick up the monitor 70s is if they go back on sale lol. I've been monitoring this site every day! Glad to hear you guys are enjoying your stuff. Newegg is great! BTW...the PSW505 is on sale for $229 for two more days! I bought it last week @ full price and Newegg gave me a store credit. I can't speak highly enough of them, been using them for PC parts for years and I never even knew they had decent HT gear!

    Yeah i heard about that. After going back thru my emails apparently they DID send me the flyer with the sale info...guess I just missed it...I already ordered everything for a 9.1 setup except for front mains. All of what I ordered is black, not cherry...so that sucks for me :(

    eBay prices aren't anywhere near the Newegg sale lol....does the warranty even transfer? Also...since I missed out on the other sale newegg gave me a promo code to get $30 off the cherry until 5/27
