A guy named Brian Ross, eBay ID - tulsabiz appears to have taken myself and at least 80 other people for about $6,300 in cd sales. I have his address, email addy and phone number, but he won't respond (no surprise) to anything. He's at 2385 S 96th Avenue #B Tulsa, OK 74129. Phone is 918-665-9343. Anybody passing by that would like to give him a message from me!?!

That sucks regardless. I was considering going back through OK to take some more pics of the storm damage, I'll keep that addy on my list.

Chances are, write it off, move on. Sad but true.

feel bad about my loss, I feel worse for someone who is out $100+. My
sympathies go out to you and you're only confirming my suspicions by
relating your story to me. I won my auction on the 10th and most responsible
sellers will usually have the merchandise to the buyer w/in a week-10days. I
contacted tulsabiz(Brian Ross, if memory serves) and he said that he hadn't
gotten around to mailing it until the 14th and said it should reach me by
last weekend. Well, I waited until today, but so far nothing. So, you're not

well this is really unfortunate cos i still haven't recieved the cds and i
also have paid him for outright deal around $280 for a lot of 10 MFSL cds.
this is a huge sum and it definitely feels bad to be cheated. i completed
this transaction around 2 weeks earlier and when i sent an email to him he
said he will be sending it and has some family crisis.

do keep me updated on the proceedings if it is not a problem for u and
absolutely it is not a problem getting mails from u. thanx for the
information anyway.

i think we both have been taken, there has to be a way to get this right.
ebay is a very successful business and **** like this will do nothing
but hurt ebay. i am so angry. we must all contact ebay about fraud. i will
keep your address and lets stay with this. i also bought two discs.

Funny you should email me. I inquired about my item on the 12th of May
for which he replied the item had shipped late in the week. As of today
my item has yet to arrive. I sent him a message requesting a status
this evening. I am not real concerned as I have dealt with this one
other time. Selling products over the internet and not shipping the
merchandise is a felony and a contact to the police dept. should resolve
this situation in the event the sales were in fact bogus. I am waiting
until the end of the week before I send the seller a message that I will
take action in this manner if need be.

I won A jOE sATRIANI MFSL cd and paid him via PaYpAL; ABOUT 10 days ago. He
has never informed me about anything. What can I do.

Thanks for enlightning me to this potential problem. This month was my first
dealings with ebay and paypal with the sole purpose of acquiring mfsl discs
for my collection.
So far I've "WON" 3 discs' worth approximately $125. from tulsa but have not
received any and your right, this is cause for concern.
I'll keep you informed whats going on.

HI Brad, have not received anything yet as giving a couple extra days living
in Hawaii. Actually just emailed Mike, better known as battleax99 in regards
to an inquiry of the same nature as yours. Still waiting for his reply. Is
there anyway to get a telephone number? How else can we contact this guy?

I have not as yet received anything, but I live in Niagara Falls Canada and
had the CD shipped to my business address in Niagara Falls New York, We
have not as yet been over this week.

This is very disappointing to say the least. I did contact this person
and got a "It's in the mail" a week after I won the auction. Sorry to see
that you went for so many discs. I'm only out one disc that I bought as a
"Buy It Now". It was the Heart MFSL CD for 25.00. I can't understand how
someone with so many positive feedbacks can just fall off the face of the
earth. I wonder if they somehow swiped someone elses ID. Whatever the case
may be I'm rather upset and this will be the first problem I've had with
anyone on e-bay. Oh well, hopefully they will make good on these
transactions, but I'm not holding my breath. Everything else I have
purchased has been here before I had a chance to second guess whether or not
the item would show up. Let me know how you make out with this global
e-mail, my curiosity is growing. Thanks for the heads up and I'm keeping my
fingers crossed.

I won one cd ($73.00) and have not received it. I sent him an email on
5/22/03 to ask where it is. He responded that it must be lost in the mail,
but because he insured it, that it should be found. Since then I have sent
him two more emails with no response. I called him today and got no answer,
not even a answering machine. I have filed a fraud claim with eBay and have
filed a claim with PayPal, but I doubt if I will see my money or cd after
reading your email account. Sounds like the POS has run with our money. He
better pray I never catch his sorry a$$. I'll keep your email and contact
you if I have any new info, please do the same.

i too purchased and paid for a cd and have not yet received and seller will
not respond to emails. i believe i have been ripped off.

HI, thanks, now I have a bad feeling about this. Wondering how he can have
100% feedback with negatives? Plus he must be registered with paypal which
is I believe is owned by ebay? Maybe time to file a complaint?

I think i am one of the victim as i have not received my cd yet. I pay him
$107.50 on May 16 via paypal. Do you know what we can do if this is a fraud?
I am sending him a mail to follow up the shipment status of my cd.

I also haven't received my MFSL CD and I had the same
bad feeling when I saw that the seller had closed off
his feedback.

This is my first experience with a (possibly)
fraudulent transaction. Where do we go from here? Does
ebay offer any useful assistance? What about paypal
(now part of ebay anyway)?

I guess we can also report the possibility of fraud to
our credit card providers, but what can they do? There
was no fraud by paypal after all.

I'm a lawyer in Sydney Australia but I'm pretty
powerless from here!

Hey Brad, it's funny you should email me. Because i
emailed that person today and still have not heard
from him. I have mailed them several times and they
keep saying that it's in the mail. I ordered 3 MFSL's
from this person and still have not received
anything!!! I have a very bad feeling also. I paid
through Paypal and I think that hey have a fraud
protection program but I'll have to look into it. I'll
also look into Ebay's policies. Have you tried any of
those options yet. You guys have the same email
address suffix? Any idea about this person? Let me

hi brad, my disc hasnt arrived either.......i sent him a nasty email today
and yeah, I suspect I'm being stroked...for a $50 disc....my deal closed on
may 10 and now he is unresponsive, although he had been..........turn his
**** in I guess huh ???

I just sent out mail to this guy his name is Brian Ross. I will wait for a
couple days for his response.
I went to Paypal they have the fraud protection program and to protect buyer
if the payemnt is paid via paypal/ebay. Its seems like we will have 75%
return of funds under this program.

I am waiting on 2 cds that cost me $56.00 including shipping. I used the buy
it now option and paid for them around 2 weeks ago. I emailed the guy last
Friday and he sent me a reply stating that the CDs were in the process of
being shipped out. I've got a feeling we're getting screwed. I'm going to
check with Paypal and see if I have any recourse with them.

you do know, e-bay has buyer protection up to $200.00 clams right??

e-mail them, visiting the guy might land someone in jail, not the correct way to deal with it.. although it sucks, if you trespass or try and take matters in ones hands it will turn on you

Sorry to hear about bein ripped off. I've been fairly lucky I think, but untill I see 2 recent purchases (that have had emails go unanswered for a week or so),I've been ok. I have a question though...........what is an MFSL CD?

Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs, they started making audiophile grade gold cd's and vinyl back in the '70's, went out of business in the late '90's, but have been resurrected again late last year. They reissue an album in very limited numbers and then that's it, no more. Their current issues are sacd hybrid's and you can find them at http://www.amusicdirect.com/ and alot of other music sites. It's high quality stuff, much better than redbook issues. If you want to search for their older issues, then look on eBay under mfsl cd.
This is the first time I've been ripped off, it just makes you mad.

If you stopped by, I think you'd have to just say "Hey, I was in the neighborhood and thought I'd stop by and pick up my CDs or get my money back." You wouldn't want it to end with you being arrested for assault.

Thanks for all the support. Some very tempting ideas, right in line with my own thoughts......effn POS!!!
It really is a shame that there are people like that, I've done many deals on eBay and Audiogon and each one has been a pleasure until this.
I have filed complaints with eBay, PayPal and the police. If anything comes of this, I will pass it on.

That number's most likely a cell number as it's not coming up on any of the search engines. A search of Brian Ross' in Tulsa with 74129 zip turned up one hit. His number is 918-234-8533. Might be him, might not. Probably worth a call anyways. I can do better searches when I get into the office, hehe.
