Ok so I can pick up this vintage CD changer w/remote locally for a song, it really looks brand new! It has a 6 disc cartridge and 1 extra single drawer for a total of 7. Ive never been really happy with my Pioneer changer, entry level back in the late 80's early 90's.
Anyone have any experience with this model or something similar? Any input would be helpful!
thanx tom

Most of them only hear how loud it sounds, and the rest of us hear everything else -

Always be aware buiyng an older cdp, especially a changer, they are getting close to their lifespan and parts are hard to find and even if you could find the parts it would be cost prohibitive to pay to have it fixed.
Personally unless a mechanical unit like a cdp or dvdp is free or dirt cheap I steer clear because of reliability issues. Even the best made machines of the 80's and 90's break.

I still have mine...bought it brand new back in 1992 or so. Still have the original box, manual, remote, 6 disc cartridge, etc. I like everything about it except lately when playing the last track on a CD it tends to skip. Probably just needs an adjustment but I've been too lazy to take it to a repair shop.SDA SRS 2.3TL's

Ok, so after reading some reviews and the comments here I went and picked this up. It does not even have a scratch on it, and the remote works flawlessly. For $30 I could not pass this up.
Now the best part, i did side by side comparisons with my pioneer and WOW what a difference! Detail was much better, and the soundstage opened up alot. It almost seems a bit on the bright side but that could be due to the better clarity and detail. All around improvement for my 2 channel bedroom rig, which now consists of the Luxman DC-113 CDP, Pioneer PL-516 TT, Paradigm Mini Monitor V.3, Rotel RB-980bx amp, and my vintage Onkyo A-7022 being used as the preamp. Most of them only hear how loud it sounds, and the rest of us hear everything else - -
Nice score. Way to go!!! I paid $500.00 for mine (way too much IMO back in 1992 but I wanted it bad). I like the single disc option. The magazines are hard to find but I think there are other brands that will work with this unit.SDA SRS 2.3TL's
