I'm going to put this up for sale as seeing I decided I like the SEP-1 a bit better as I like the tubes lol. Only reason I am selling this and that I don't need another pre amp just sitting around unused. It is only 2 months or so old and I am just looking for what I paid for it.
400.00 plus shipping and any paypal fees. Will come in the factory double box, with remote, manual, chords, as well as the other outter sleve on the box so its kinda like a triple box but not really.
This is a good pre and I really enjoy it, has HT bypass, sub controls, ect.
Pics will come up tonight.

no this is not sold. Please allow me time to work through the other people that are before you to see as I go in order of who contacted me first.
Thanks. -

Some dust on the top otherwise she is clean. If more pics are needed I'll try and add them tomorrow during the day with better lighting. -
Very nice! I'd be considering this, but I've already got a deal locked down for a Parasound Halo P3. I've always wanted to check out the 2100 preamp though. I'll probably get one eventually, to use in the integrated 2ch/HT rig that I plan on starting work on once I "complete" my 2 channel rig. But, the Halo P7 preamp looks mighty nice too...albeit at a much higher price.
The 2100 is definitely one of the most feature packed 2 channel pres on the market. Good luck with the sale, Chris. Sounds like you've already got a lot of interest for it.:)The nirvana inducer-

Thanks to Chris for giving me time to see if this will work for me and thanks for the patience of those in line behind me.
I plan to call Parasound Monday morning unless someone can answer my question with certainty. Will the HT Bypass feature allow me to run this unit with my main speakers while running my other pre- with my outdoor speakers. I have two amps. I will need all sources (PS3, CD, Turntable) to be used both indoors and outdoors. I hope that makes sense.
Maybe someone can help out so that Chris can get this sold...hopefully to me.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -
No problem. I just want to see it go to a good home. I really liked it, its just that I found I like my tube pre a little bit better, but honestly the Parasound is great I think.

page 8 of the manual discusses how the bypass works...

I called Parasound today, but wasn't able to talk to anyone. I also sent an e-mail and got a response within 5 minutes. I replied back answering a few questions then I never got another response.
Since I tend to think it will not work for my situation, I will step out of line. If I eventually talk to someone at Parasound who tells me it will work, I'll jump back in line.
Many thanks for the patience and good luck with the sell. Shouldn't last long.

No problem. The pre is still here if anyone is interested. If you want to PM about what happens with parasound Paul you can and I'll hold off from putting it up on Agon for a bit.

I have this exact same preamp and it is indeed and excellent pre. But I, too, recently made the move to tubes and bought an integrated tube amp (Mastersound Due Venti). So I might be putting my 2100 up for sale soon as just like OP, I don't need another pre amp just sitting around unused.
Never the less, I don't quite understand what it is you're trying to do. The HT bypass will allow you to run your main speakers in stereo for your stereo sources (Tuner, PS3, CD, Turntable) that are connected to one of the six sets of RCA stereo inputs. I don't see how you would also be able to use those same sources with your "other pre" unless you somehow have those same sources connected to the second preamp.
Maybe using some type of Y-splitter? But I never heard of doing this and can't understand why you would want to. Of course if a Y-splitter did work or if you have multiple outputs on the source component (my Lexicon RT-20 has two sets of stereo outs labeled Front 1 and Front 2 and both are active when playing a CD) then absolutely this would work. From what I can make out of what you're trying to do, the Parasounds' HT bypass feature is NOT the limiting factor. The only limitation is with the source component and being able to connect it to two separate preamps. -
FWC,
Don't put that up for sale until I get back from the Far East...? Exactly what I'm looking for and this will be gone soon! Nah....do what you want...! But if I'm around when you sell I'll be standing in line!
cstma01, hope you sell yours quick! Good Luck!
