Noob question about center channel
Hi,
I am looking to finally upgrade to a real center channel...
Currently I have a small sony center channel from an older sony 5.1 kit. (not much help) which I am looking to upgrade
But my question is I have Polk r300's and was wondering what was the correct center channel to pair them with? CS10, CS1, CSR, CSi3?
I've looked online a bit and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.
and for satellites I am currently using the small sony ones but am looking to upgrade in the future.
Sorry for the noob question
Thank you in advance

Do you have any plans of upgrading the R300's at any point? If so, you might consider getting a center channel to match your future upgrade path.
For instance, if you've considered eventually upgrading the R300's to something from the RTi series, you might want to consider getting an RTi series center channel, such as the CSi5 or CSiA6.
If you don't have any plans of upgrading though, the CSR is the matching center channel. The nirvana inducer-

comfortably curt, I did actually end up upgrading my fronts...
I was looking around for the csr and ended up finding a deal on the RTI8's
So after reading different threads about the CSI3 vs the CSI5, I think I'm going to hold out for the CSI5.
But now with my current receiver I think they are severely underpowered, So looks like I will upgrading that much sooner then expected.
I know it's a different forum section but any recommendations on receivers?
I know it will be tough but preferably around $250ish?
The guy I got the speakers form was selling an Onkyo TX-DS777 for $100- It's an older receiver but seems good for it's time.http://www.soundstage.com/video/revequip/onkyo_txds777.htm
Or else I've heard good things about the Harman Kardon HK AVR 254 -
and It will be used for pretty evenly for Home Theatre and Music.

And currently I am using a sony str k740p receiver (It was form a hand my down theatre in a box system)

xcapri, I ended up going with the HK, They had some pretty good prices on refurbished ones through their ebay store.
But now another problem..
At first I thought it was just my receiver not being able to power the rti8's hence them not sounding so great.
I messed around with them a little more to try and figure out if that was the case. They just sounded really muddy, No highs at all.
And from all the reviews I've read I don't think I've heard one count of them sounding to muddy. So My first thought was the tweeter might be blown? Then after searching online for a while I think the crossover might be fried?
I am not sure how I could tell? (pretty much a total noob )
I tried taking out the Jumpers and plugged into the top set of inputs (if not mistaken are the highs) and no sound whatsoever
I purchased them off craigslist, the guy selling them said they were in absolute perfect condition minus a little crack in the grill, nothing blown or anything.
