I've tried to refrain from commenting on Emo threads. One of the guys I work with recently purchased a XPA5 for his HT/2 channel rig. He bought all of his speakers from me which was/is a Paradigm Studio 100 line, so I know how these speakers sound with different amplification.
I can honestly say the Emo almost equalled my B&K 7250 in the HT arena. It was a tad bright but not tote point where I would rule it out for HT.
Straight 2 channel and the Emo fell on it's face compared to the B&K. The B&K was much more rich and full compared to the Emo sterile and forward presentation.
HT, Emo is not bad, music, I'd look somewhere else.
