Hello everybody,

i am looking for a nice cd player, i guess it could be a dvd player as well, but it has to be a good musical player.

I own rtia7 a pioneer elite vsx23 and just bought a rotel rb990bx power amp (200 wpc).

I am currently playing my cds using my sony bdps360, but need a cd player so i can recover my bdp for the bedroom.

I paid 60 for the bdp at bb (it was open box but brand new). So that is the amount that i am willing to pay, ok maybe up to a hundred) shipped to miami.

Thanks for your help and/or recommendations

I can probably help you out.

I've got the following players that I would be able to sell, both well-known as "musical" DVD players:

    Oppo 980H:

    Denon DVD-2200:
    http://usa.denon.com/ArchivedDVDPlayers.asp?archivedModelSearch=true&clearCurrent=true&archivedCategory=DVD&archivedModel=DVD-2200

I don't use either for playing DVD's and only need one of them for music, so just shoot me a PM if you're interested in either one. They sound like they would be perfect for your price range and are in great condition!

I could be wrong, but I don't think you're going to find a nice/musical cdp for $60/$100 shipped. ymmv

    Hey now guys be nice.

I am aware that a good cd player goes from some hundreds to some thousands, having said that.

Just like a lot of gears you can find good deals on used gear older generation that provide good sound quality and do not burn a hole in the wallet.

I have seen here cd jukeboxes at 50 dollars and cdp at 25 dollars.

Granted not tube or super high end but nice.

Older nad, cambridge audio, adcom, etc.

But thanks for your "constructive input" hahaha

I would recommend using a blu-ray player for CD listening.
That way you can have a quality multi-purpose player.
I have Pioneer BDP-05FD and BDP-51FD blu-ray players that also serve as very good CD players. Either would mate well with your Pioneer VSX-23TXH. Check your local Bestbuy for some floor or clearance models. I recently picked up the 05 there.
+1, this is what I use all the time (HD DVD players) since I have 3 of them (2 x A3s and 1 x A30) however in your case if you do not own a BluRay yet, do some research to make sure you buy the one with the best DAC unless budget is the priority then a Walmart BD might be the cheapest option in the new, am I right???
