Well...I went and bought me a Carver

I was at the beach last week and went to check my e-mail. I had a second chance offer. Well...I sent a check...so I should have an A-753X on the way.
I know at full power it could detonate any of my stuff, but it has level controls,
which my M-5150s don't. I figure use a 5150 on surround and sell one. I thought it might be a good amp if I decide to upgrade speakers.

What do you guys think? Good idea? Bad?

    I love the look of the Three-Eyed Monster... I would keep both M5150's and upgrade your mains next. I may be wrong, but you can use the Oinkers as monoblocks for the front.

    Nice amp for the front soundstage and more than enough power. Keep the other amps for surround duty or as previously stated,upgrade the front speaks.

    the 5150s are strictly 2 channel to my knowledge. The 504 integras are dual mono...but I am not about to put a 20+ year 2 channel mono

    funny thing is.....I got the second 5150 the day before I left for the beach......
    I am about to go throw Avatar on and see if it makes a difference......

    I have not heard the 753 but I have heard the onk. Very underrated amp for the $
