It may work for some, but the small things are 1. size, 2 SD card storage sizes are limited, 3. price. Those things alone turn me away, and I'm sure it would for alot of others. Overall though the specs do look awesome.

^^^ +1. At $790 this is only the king in price. Will never displace Apple.

Flac support is nice, but I was able to get Flac support using Rockbox on my 6 year old iRiver.

TIRED Barely portable — large awkward chassis hard to carry. Menu and button configuration clearly traveled via flux capacitor from 2001. Only a small selection of 24-bit music is available for sale online. No docking station. You'll need high-quality headphones to enjoy the player's sounds.

Woohoo!!! If I want quality music, I'll go to my 2-ch or HT... If I want to run/ride with music, I'll use a real portable player, not this brick.

I concur with the rest. This big BOX doesn't stand a hope in *ell of ever replacing mp3 players!

If you are going to lug that thing around, you might as well lug around a portable cd player.
