Not sure how many of you have been to a "real" air show (aka 1 at an AFB), but if you haven't I'd highly recommend it.

Got to go to Shawfest 2010 down in SC this last weekend with my dad in tow, who was a mechanic/crew chief/line chief on fighters for most of his 22 years in the AF. Outstanding show, and it really makes you appreciate America, and how great our armed forces are. Thunderbirds put on their usual fine show, filled with incredible precision.

Hats off to everyone that has served/is serving/will serve. You are a special bunch. Thanks!!

Very cool. I did attend one years ago at an AFB and got to meet some of the T-bird pilots. An elite bunch to say the least.

I've been a few times, but it's been awhile since the last one. They have them here at Seymour Johnson AFB. It probably seems more frequent than they really are. The Thunderbirds do put on a good show.

Haha, so says my coworker who was a chopper pilot in the navy. I actually did get a couple F-18 picsl, but decided to keep the highlights AF only :)

And yes, that P-51 was a sight to behold. They actually flew 2 different mustangs, which was extra cool considering there's only like 160 or so left flying...

I used to go every year to the 2 biggest airshows in the U.S. ....Sun N' Fun Airshow in Lakeland, Florida and Airventure in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I really miss those shows.

We are having ours here in July. The Thunderturds will be here, anybody local to Fairchild, I def. recommend coming in and seeing it. A few beers and some music at my house could be arranged after the show I'm sure.
