It utilizes all of your speakers with stereo sound. I used it all the time when I had my Denon receiver, and it did sound great. Now I use Prologic ll for my music which gives it a bit more seperation even for my 2 channel music. I like it.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2

It sounds so good because you've got a sweet system;)
Check out The Flaming Lips: At War with the Mystics for a 5.1 surround treat. I'm not really a fan of their music, but the mix is just awesome.
If you don't want to buy it, shoot me your address and I'll send you mine to borrow.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -

I do hardly any listening in multi-channel...but when I do, multi-channel stereo is my last choice.
Sound modes like PLII and DTS:Neo sound MUCH better for multi-channel listening than all channel stereo does IMO.
All channel stereo doesn't even have a hint of sound staging or imaging...it's just a room full of noise IMO. At least with PLII and Neo you have some sense of instrumental separation and soundstaging.
It's still never going to throw as realistic of an image as 2 channel does though in my experience. The nirvana inducer-
