I think there was someone on here who posted a long time ago that he has rebuilt magnavox amps.
Well I recently picked this up from my local thrift and I'd like to convert it to stand alone use ( lose the pigtail and replace with on/of switch ).
Any and all help in this regard is greatly appreciated.
TIA,
Wayne

My first tube amp was a console pull, wasnt a bad little piece.
DaveOnce again we meet at last. -
There is a Magnavoxfriends Yahoo group with a fair amount of information.
I've got a console with that EL84 push-pull amp (or very similar) in the basement :-) They are surprisingly good sounding little amplifiers.
Here's some more possibly helpful/interesting info:

Is there anything you don't have, mrh? (That's a compliment, btw.)
They sure don't build 'em like that anymore.
I don't have any of those "SRA"-style Polks :-P
Thanks for the compliment; I am a "collector" (in the sense that Fred Sanford was a "collector").
When you look at the output iron on those Maggotboxes and the modest construction values, it is astonishing how good those little amps sound. -
OOps, that was supposed to say "SDA"... you know what I meant, right? :-)
