I just purchased a vintage Sony STR-GX10ES receiver for my lady friend. I am looking for a pair of SDA speakers to go with the receiver. There are several in my area; SDA-SRS2 for $350, SDA-2B for $390, SDA-1 for $380.
She lives in a condo. I am concerned that the SRS2s may be too large for her front room. I am also not sure she would be able to play at a volume to reap the full benefit of the speakers.
SDA-1s are nice but, I would prefer 1Cs.
The 2Bs have new grills and the original cable. I an not sure if the others have the interconnect cable or not. I have not inquired yet. Is $390 a reasonable price for 2Bs?

Long time lurker, I just registered so that I could defend my favorite speakers
Hands down the SDA-SRS2s. Thats a great price for the SRS2s if they are in a good condition.
I live in a condo too and have had the SDA2s and finally settled on the SRS2s. You can always play them at low volumes and pump it up when you can get away with it! Placement distance from the wall will change the bass re-inforcement.
The 1Cs are good but the SRS2s are no slouch either. Besides at that price even if you didnt like them you could always recoup your money back. -

I own and have updated both 1986 SDA SRS 2's and 1987 SDA-2B's with new crossover components and RDO-198's and they sit side by side in my listening room. You did not specify, but the SDA SRS 2's may be 4 ohm (Blade/Blade) or 8 ohm (Pin/Blade). The 4 ohm version may prove to be a bit harder to drive, but I absolutely love mine.
The SDA-2B's are wonderful speakers, easy to drive and the treble is pure with just a single tweeter in each cabinet.
I prefer the more enveloping bass produced by the SDA SRS 2's and they sound great even at low volume. The two tweeters in each cabinet produce "progressive point source" treble that is not quite as pure as the single 2B's, but this allows for a wider soundstage. I listen to my SDA SRS 2's about 90% of the time. As a side note, the SDA SRS 2's are much heavier and more difficult to move.
I do not own, but have listened to numerous 1C's and they are probably the perfect blend of the best of the strengths of both SDA SRS 2's and SDA-2B's.VTL ST50 w/mods / RCA6L6GC / TlfnknECC801S

Assuming they are in good to excellent condition, the SDA-SRS2s are the best deal. But, for a small to medium size room, out of the 3 you listed, the SDA-2B proabably makes the most sense. However, IMHO the asking price is way too high. Are they 2B studios or 2Bs with the wooden end caps? If they are wood end cap 2Bs, in mint shape, I'd offer $250 & go from there. Studios, I'd start @ $225.
