Greetings all,
As of today I'm a 3 time newbie.1.New to this forum,2.First time Polk owner, and 3.First time sub woofer owner.I just bought a refurbished PSW110 sub from PolkDirect and since I have never used a sub before I thought I'd toss my questions out to the experts.I am using this in a 2 channel, music only system. My amp is a Rogue Audio Tempest II Magnum tube integrated.I will be using the preamp out rca's to connect the PSW110.I pulled up the manual for the PSW110 and read thru the connection instructions briefly. From what I read,I believe I can use 2 RCA cables from the preouts and connect to the left and right input of the sub.Am I correct in this assumption or should I just use "Y" adapters and a single cable?Any suggestions cables that match well with this sub?I'm not a "high end cable" advocate so say around $20-30.I know I'm going to have to experiment with placement and settings to get the sound I want, any tips on starting up?I'd like to thank folks in advance for any input.

Welcome to Club Polk!
If you are using the sub for music, there may be channel specific mixes for bass - so I would recommend running both Left and Right RCA cables to the Left and Right sub inputs.
Monoprice has some good quality sub cables, as does Blue Jeans, or look for some budget deals on Audioquest.

Thanks Erik,
So I guess I'm on the right track about hookup.I was looking at the Blue Jeans site a while ago, good prices for sure.If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money. -

Got my PSW110 today.I can't believe how easy it was to integrate into my system.I had limited options on the placement. It sits just to the right and slightly behind my left main speaker.I have it XO'ed at about 70Hz and volume at about 3/4 full output. It doesn't draw any attention to itself but when you turn it off,you know it's gone.I used Santana "Abraxas" to set it up.Greg Brown's bass lines are sounding really good!!I'm a happy camper so far!!If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.
