Everyone,
It has been a great many, many years. I have learned a great deal, and I have dealt with a great deal. Club Polk is a great place to come to and hang out, read and learn. There are many that have so much knowledge in all the things that I want to attain. I will, someday.
As of right now, I am aware of all the things that occur in the world outside of audio. Polk has been a great place to go to and get away or learn. It is this thing we call life and perseverence. I am also aware of the new rules of the forum, the intended goal is to make this a place better. I just want to put in my view. Rules and regulations versus rewards and self diplomacy. When does a business enforce rules and regulations or should I say boundaries versus openness?
Some of you are well aware, in business, there is a top-down approach and a down-up approach. A top down approach relies on the top tiers to enforce and punish, whereas the down-up is to give free will and freedom of contributions with extremely limited boundaries or should I say rules and regulations. Obviously, the down up approach did not work out.
I enjoy this place. So I ask a simple question. Instead of the daily things that have been debated as of late, how about something else for a change? I want to ask, what made you successful? What are your accomplishments? What brought you to Polk and what kept you coming back?
I will be honest. I have owned Bose products, but that was a distant memory ago. I have owned many things after that. But, I also contribute what I have today to many people here; I research in the background. Life is hard enough why not talk about the good things? When was the last time someone was thanked? You folks are so much better than what has been going on in this forum. What . every two days a new post gets shut down? So lets change the subject and do tell about the great things in life.

But of course, these days... If its not political or controversial....... Sorry to know, arguement... instead of unity, is the new order....

Club Polk is tame these days compared to when I joined and yet it seems not tame enough for some. Believe it or not, it was a lot more fun back then. Something to think about. When was the last time someone was thanked?
I believe it was yesterday or the day before and I was the one being thanked. For today, I will do the thanking. Rich, the gloves are the bomb, thanks!Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."
President of Club Polk -
"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul!

Club Polk is like any other large community, they discuss issues of the day. sometimes those issues get heated, and the mods come in and put out the fire.
Yet, at every Polkfest there is never an issue. People get together, have a godo time, listen to some tunes, eat drink and go home.
occasionally we get a troll, who does a horrible job blending into a new community, usually because they think the internet and keyboard exempts them from treating people as if they were right in front of you....hilarity ensues....wash....repeat.
I'm not worried about it, ClubPolk will be fine.Living Room 2 Channel -

Even at its worst the Polk boards are very tame compared to many others....and besides very tame can be a bit dull at times,so always nice to have a lil drama at times....
