Is This As Good/Same Mortite?

I was at my local hardware store and they had this MD Specialty Cord Weatherstrip on sale. I bought a 30ft package of it because I need to reseal my drivers and PR when I finally get around to rebuilding my crossovers (hopefully this weekend). Y'all think this is pretty much the same as the Mortite stuff mentioned here at CP in the other threads or should I just order the real stuff from Amazon?

I ask because the guy at the hardware store told me its exactly the same and I can't seem to find Mortite for sale at HD, Lowe's, Sears or hardware stores.

"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul!
