Does anyone know if there is a difference between the Original RM3000 Reference Monitor series satellites and the subsequent RM series II satellite speakers. (Besides being shielded) There is a blue tweeter in the Series II, this may be different, but the biggest question I have is whether the crossover circuit is identical in both series. The original series satellites crossover was specifically designed around that incredible Polk Passive Subwoofer 1000 W Reference Monitor, so I am wondering if I replace the original satelllites with the Series II sats whether this will work or not from a crossover/frequency matching standpoint. Thanks for any help on this, but Polk has no technical information for these products anymore.

PS Big Polk fan, I have some RM6's as well. I have been running my RM3000 Reference Monitor setup for 20 years now (Polk and this series started the whole revolution towards subs/sats) and I have a Proton D540 driving the train. Simple, effective, incredible sound. Talk about getting your moneys worth!
