    Wow... I thank all of you so much for your kind words. I became motivated to share my dad's story as I had been thinking about what a wonderful gesture he had made toward our family. I know it's never easy, but he somehow managed to make it a little more bearable for those of us he left behind. I know that it was a gift. Not everyone is given such a chance, and not everyone who is given the chance takes it. I just wish I had always appreciated him as much as I eventually came to later.

    I hear you man.
    I had a great grandmother that was only suppose to live to be like 90...she ended up living to be 99 until the day my cousins baby was born. Nate brought his new born baby to see her and the following day we; me and Nate had gotten into a really bad accident about the same time that my grandmother had died.... the car was totaled we didn't even have a scratch on us.
    Till this day I think I am only alive because of her... we were only about an inch or so from a tree that if we would have hit it would have fallen down and killed us both.
    All in all....this brought back some memories.

    Some great words there Ed. My condolences and sorry for your loss. I lost my dad a long time ago when he was much much too young. He is still a big influence in my life.
