I've got 198's to replace SL2500's. They seem a little sharper to me. I've also done my XO's. Until you've got a few hours on them, they probably won't sound as good as the SL2000's, give them time.
    Onkyo TX-SR705 AVR
    Onkyo M-501-Given to my father.
    Onkyo DX-C730 CD Changer
    Onkyo DV-BD507 Blu Ray player
Onkyo CP-1036A turntable with Grado, Audio Technique, and Azden cartridges(GOT CARTRIDGE??)
    Polk Monitor 12's with RDO's and XO's
    Polk CS300 Center
    Polk Monitor Series 4 rears

EBAY is like cocaine. At first you only look, next thing you know, your house is full of crap you have no idea why you own.

Definitely give them time and when you do you should really like them, at least I did. The highs has got smoother but still clear and detailed. They blend really nice with the music!

Smoother, definitely. You won't have that harsh sound from high piano notes anymore.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

A good way to help breaking them in is to let them play all day for a couple weeks, doesnt need to be alot of volume though.
Most of them only hear how loud it sounds, and the rest of us hear everything else -

Right here, through customer service. I think they are $50 apiece. 1-866-764-1801
