Receiver Help

My Onkyo TX-SR606 has about hit the dust and is out of warranty. It has the HDMI handshake issue that eventually makes it nearly impossible to get any input choice working. I want to pick something up before I can no longer use my receiver.
Here's what I've been looking at-
Although I'm wary to go with Onkyo again, I can get the TX-SR608 for $409 shipped. I can get the TX-SR508 for $320 shipped. The 508 is essentially last year's 607 but @ 80W instead of 90W, 4 HDMI inputs, and does not upscale component video. The 608 offers THX cert, 100W/channel, 2 more HDMI inputs, and 1080p upscaling.
I've also been looking at the Pioneer 920 and it offers 110W/channel, 1080p upscaling, 4 HDMI ports, and checks in @ $379 shipped. I'm not real familiar with Pioneer receivers.
My speakers are Monitor 50's up front with a CS1 in the center. My surrounds are Monitor 30's and I also have some ceiling mounted RC60i's as rear surrounds. My biggest fear with the 508 is that I would be disappointed with the watts per channel.
As far as upscaling, my only non 1080p source is a Nintendo Wii and I think my TV would likely convert it well enough?
Any help on these three choices or other suggestions is greatly appreciated!
