I finally received my three Jimi records from Amazon. Axis Bold as Love, Electric Ladyland, and Valleys of Neptune. Axis and Electric are the reissues. I'll post a review as soon as I've had a good sit down listen. I already have the other Jimi studio recordings on original vinyl as well as Axis but my copy is pretty old and "experienced". By the way the three LP's on heavy vinyl shipped were $55.00 to my door. Pretty good value I think.

That's an excellent price Kelvin! A lot of the usual internet dealers were sold out shortly after the release dates in early March. Inventory must be better now. I bought "Neptune" and "Ladyland" at a local retailer. Both were less than $20 if I recall.

I reserved Valleys and when I picked it up it came with a special print of a painting done by Jimi. I love my record store.

    It's an excellent album.

Listened to Valleys of Neptune tonight. Excellent LP. Great sonics. Minimal processing. The drums really pop and Jimi's voice is clear. The "new" songs are quite good and the whole album showcases Jimi's extraordinary talent. Two enthusiastic thumbs up. Oh and I really like his rendition of Sunshine of Your Love. Very cool.

I got V of N on cd and it sounds great. Sound quality is very good. Liner notes have a lot of info on how and when the tracks where made. Glad to see the family in charge of Jimi's music for once. Now I will have to listen to the other versions. I hope there will be more releases of this quality in the future. A must have for any Jimi fan.

I listened to the new release of Axis Bold As Love on vinyl last night and it sounds fantastic. As good as I've ever heard Hendrix. These remasters are really worth having.

Awesome Kelvin! I respectfully submit that if you can get your hands the MFSL 3 LP heavy vinyl set of all Jimi Hendrix's perforances at Woodstock you jump on it. I don't know if you can get it new anymore but it is absolutely a must have if you are a true "the man they called God" fan.
