Floppy MW driver

One of the 6501s in my 12Cs is very loose compared to the others. When I push on it, it gives less resistance & with bass heavy material, the movement seems sloppy. I pulled it out of the cabinet, didn't see anything obviously wrong with it. So what's the deal? Should I keep my eyes open for a replacement? Overall the speakers sound fine, but I'm sure it must be having some influence on the sound quality. Anyone ever experienced this?

    It's simply wear on the surround and I'd suggest a new or used replacement. It happens and some fair better than others when it comes to vintage loudspeakers.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
