Looking for a nice foosball table

Well, I'm looking for a nice foosball table for hopefully less than $700. Does anyone here have any knowledge on good foosball tables that could provide a good recommendation for me? I would like it to have drink holders because I know that there will be some beer drinking happening when we're playing some foos. I want it to look nice and be well-built. Any input would be wonderful!

Rodeo,
You may want to look into Dynamo or Tornado tables. The Dynamo's back than had ramps at the corners, whereas the Tornado does not. If I remember correctly, they both are fitted with slots for drinks. I prefer the professional feel of the Tornado without the ramps. Both tables are built of durable quality, however the Tornado seemed to have better bars, much more resilient to bending and memory.

Rodeo - I've got 2 in my basement that haven't been used for some time. Lemme see if I still have all of the parts. Both are real nice tables. I'd give one up for a few hundred bucks. I'm in the suburban Detroit area.

so, Rodeo's hosting a Midwest get together once he gets his foosball table?:D

Not sure how neighbors in an apartment would respond to that! Not a bad idea though other than that.

I used to be pretty good at foosball back in the day....
In Oklahoma the Rec Center we used to hang out in had all Dynamo Tables. I prefer them because they had the inclined corners, and... the table tops had a grippy surface which allowed you to do much more with the ball in terms of control on the 3 - man.
Good luck finding a good table.

If you want a real table, dont buy anything but a Tornado. Ive been playing since the 90's and have played in many tournaments. And Tornado's are the best imo.
Looks like you might actually be in luck to a local deal.

Good luck in your search, and remember to also stock some silicon, extra balls, guys, rod pins and a bushing or two. Things can and will break.

It sounds like a really bad idea for me to buy a foosball table now because I need to keep "silicon, extra balls, and guys.." on hand. Dave, I actually just saw those tables on craigslist today before I got on here that you linked me to above and there might be a good deal to be had for sure. Oakwood is about 10-15 minutes away and Riverside is only about 5-10 minutes away, so I might not even have to travel very far. Thanks for the links and I will definitely make sure I have some guys and balls...on hand in case of emergency.

Did you guys by chance play at Cactus Jacks, Crystals, or I can not remember the name of the third one but it was off 89 and I35? I used to compete myself back in the late 80s early 90s. It was a fun time. Every time I played and beat someone, that person would say " Play me at Cactus Dude." Oh the memories.. Representing the Dead Man Push versus the Pull. Meaning, I am going for the very far corner of the goal, problem is, I will sink it before you could react. Hahaha. Oh yeah, I could never stand foosing the ball and doing a one man on the five to pass. Gotta touch two guys first.. for skills.. -
Nope, never played at those places. Mostly played in Florida and North Carolina. Im a fan of the pull shot myself, dead bar ftw. A couple dinks here and there and a great five rod can get you places. I also dig a fast push kick vs a pull kick, alot more control. Never been a huge fan of a snake shot, but its fun to change up once in a while if you're facing someone with good defense.
Damn, now Im wanting to play, and the only real places here in OK to play are about 1.5 hours away, which sucks.
Its funny to folks that have never really played how much intensity and passion can happen over that little green surface, hate to say Ive been escorted out of a place or two when things have gone down hill. Friends used to laugh at me when I complained about having Foos-Elbow, it can get a bit painful after shooting a pull shot for hours and hours on end. The only trophies I have left anymore are from foosball tournaments, yes I know, I'm a dork, or so my wife tells me. Haha, the good old days.

Sorry Rodeo but I must comment of the topic,
We should play sometimes. I miss the game. You are in OKC right? I still go back very often. I was known for my push, however my pull is quicker. Just not as fast as some of the guys that I have seen; too fast. I have met several people back then with insane kick pulls, and only one with a crazy kick push. Now a days, we should be able to play at Slick Willies on Meridian. I look forward to the fun old days. We should play for drinks. Regardless, we are gonna drink anyways for the fun of it. Scoring in soccer is an art, the same applies to foosball. Its respected and awesome.

Too funny. It just sounds so wrong in so many places!! Joking aside, Tornado is the way to go. -

Sorry I missed this post.
But it should be ok as long as you keep it a "group" activity.

I don't mind this topic flowing around a little bit...it's in the clubhouse so I figured there would be a number of different directions this could go. Thanks for the input so far and I think you are a much better fooser than I will ever be!

Tornado is not necessarily the best (to me anyway), but probably the most common since they used to sponser most of the tournaments (don't know if they still do). I never cared for the three goalie setup, but that's probably because I grew up on a table with banked corners. Still have a Tornado table in the parent's basement though. The old table was just plain wore out from so much play. -

Awesome. I go back weekly, bi weekly or monthly. Though OKC is a small City, it is still one of the largest area wise, and aside from that it is also among the youngest states. I found it irresistible to add that about O State. I am looking forward to some foos. Give me your info, I plan on being there very soon, before I head to Florida. I still have a four-oh-five number, even after leaving that state for so many years.
