Watching this in surround sound for the first time ever, haven't seen it since I was a kid. Sounds pretty good on TCM HD.:D This is the first time my fiance has ever seen it.
I love animals, they're delicious!

I got the Blu-ray from Netflix one weekend. It still holds up after all this time, and looks and sounds amazing for its age.

You know what else holds up over time?
The Music & Movies forum! It never gets old!

Putting my serious-face on for a moment, I have to agree. The sound quality alone is proof of what can be done to bring older movies back into the spotlight.

I was watching that last night too on TCM! Good movie and classic SciFi that everyone needs to see.

I'm only 23, but I remember this movie. Didn't really get to into as a kid, but maybe worth looking back at...

A box set is to be had for this flick. Contains theatrical release, director's cut and reviewer's cut. Each is different, mostly with deleted/kept scenes being the difference. Each is very good. Plus, contained within the box set is a fold out pamplet that has a time line in the move that compares how each is different.

This is a worthy buy for anyone who is a true fan of the movie.

ET? Does that stand for something? And a war between stars?

Those don't sound very interesting to me.

    :p

    Sort of.

But it explains a lot. If you'd said you were 45, I'd have wondered what cave you'd been living in for the past 30 years~
