Line Level instead of LFE from AVR sub out?

Well, my sub has a bad LFE RCA jack on the back so I was thinking until I get problem resolved, I could use the Line Level Inputs via a "Y" adaptor from my AVR sub out so I can watch Blurays and use my sub.
I know that via Line Level that I'd have to turn the sub xover up all the way and use the AVR's setting at 80Hz.
Any inherent no-no's for this...this would be a temp solution only.
Thanks!

No it looks like you have it right.
Good luck.
Got it hooked up now - requires manually swapping cables if I want to watch movies (AVR sub out) or listen to music (integrated w/ HT bypass via pre outs), but it works...
