Up for grabs is a very nice Carver C-1 preamp it comes with original everything box packing and manuals warranty card etc. This is truly a bargain for the money involved it has a very nice phono section for those who are into vinyl. The pictures shown are when I first got this pre amp after it had been in storage and it was dusty but it doesnt look that way now and there isnt any signs of wear on the volume or other knobs like most of these, it is in as good as shape as any I have ever seen.

This would go well with the matching Carver M-1.5Tamp for sale currently so feel free to buy both :p

These seem to be all over the place $$ wise on completed listings on Ebay from $112.00 to $250.00. None had all the orginal packing and paperwork that I have seen, When was the last time anyone has seen one of these with the headphone insert in place? :p

$200 + shipping. Payment via USPS moneyorder

Disclaimer....

I hate to do this but this amp is for sale exclusively to members with a minimum of 500 posts and one year of membership. This is done not to punish new members but to reward those who have taken an active interest in keeping this forum alive.

Nice looking C-1 Snow... If you decide to lessen your 500-post requirement I'm interested, in case you want to make an exception for my years of lurking+posting =)

    Good luck regardless!

Fantastic price on a great sounding pre with an excellent MM and MC phono stage. I paid $300 two years ago for one with no box or manual etc. Good luck on the sale.

I don't think anybody ever saw one like that when they opened up a brand new C-1. I seriously doubt they came with headphone mini-plug adapter installed.

    Nice preamp though.

I will make an exception to "ANYONE" who wants this preamp or no matter their post count or time here with this requirement.

Make a $25.00 minimum donation to GG's kids also known as the Githens Center.

You can either send the money to George Grand or you can donate directly to the Githens Center here.

https://githenscenter.dojiggy.com/do...m?EventID=4565 If you decide to donate directly

You don't have to do this friend. Honest. I appreciate and I'm sure Githens would appreciate the gesture. It's the thought that counts, especially with me.

You need to clarify what you're offering. It almost looks like $25 + shipping and it's sold.

Ok :) The deal is send George directly or
to the Githens Center a $25.00 donation + the afore mentioned price + shipping and the preamp will be sold to you if you have less than 500 posts and a year of membership.

...Just don't use the sonic holography on SDA speakers...causes a time delay like you would not believe. The C-1 is a great preamp.

I agree. I have the C-1 and some SDA-1C's (hmmm never saw the C1..1C before) and sonic holography with the SDA's is just plain weird. Either work great on their own though. Congrats and enjoy.

The amazings did what they set out to do---provide a planar speaker that wasn't so darned lame in the dynamics and bass department. Bob Carver is an audio genius. And yes, I was one of those guys that found the "T" modded amp to live up to the billing...sounding like high end, because they did.
