I was looking at my tech receiver kind of wishing it was higher end when I noticed two places to plug stuff in....
Is that like a legit outlet?
Like when the receivers on I could like charge my cell phone with one of them?
I don't know... It may be a stupid question like I said... just curious...

That is for pluggin in other "audio" components. Maybe 1 is switched the other unswitched. The switched one you could for example plug a DVD,EQ or power amp into. Then when you turn on the receiver that component would power on as well.

Yeah, don't plug anything else in there. :p I have visions of you standing there listening to Pink Floyd waiting for your toast to pop up. lol

Oh, I guess that is really nifty haha.
I don't know i was kind of like woah...has this always been there?
I suppose I could plug in a cd player when I got it....would it be kind of backwards compatible...like turn on the dvd and the amp comes on too?
How do I know which is switched?

No not backwards compatible. It should say by the outlet if its switched or unswitched. Unsure....plug something into that outlet.

There are no stupid questions around here, PerfectCreature.

Those outlets on the back of your unit are intended to plug in additional audio components. They have been around for years. These outlets are usually switched to the unit and are not intended for high power components.

Plugging your cell phone charger in will not present a problem. Turning the unit off may present a problem for your cell phone charger though! :p
