What are the advantages of separates?

I currently use Head and Shoulders shampoo + conditioner all in one. Would it be an upgrade to use separate shampoo and conditioner?

Do you guys prefer separates or integrated?

Come on! Herbal Essence 2-in-1 shampoo+ condition is the best!

If I have the $$$, I'd go for separates....like separate Suave Professional shampoo and condition.

    Btw, Pantene and Dove suck!

no doubt separates work the best.. what little hair I have left on my head.. loves the cleanining power of full body shampoo, then keep that shine going with a nice conditioner

    never cared for the 2:1

Integrated is great. One less component and one less set of connections/cables.

I usually use all-in-ones, but I sort of feel seperates gives me silkier hair.

PS: I love this thread and how everyone has just gone along with it. :)

AXE shampoo and conditioner all the way! :D

Separates are the way to go imho. I love having the flexibility of trying out different power amps/preamps in the chain. Especially since I got my old Onkyo pre back working.

If you go with separates and you love the amp you can get a new preamp. If you have an integrated you throw the baby out with the bath water.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

I find that my hair is more balanced, and smoother- especially on the top end with separates. It's got a livelier feel to it. :)

All in one's leave it dry, dull and flat.

I am loving my Adcom GTP-450 preamp and Adcom 535 amp combo for two channel listening. It is clearly better than my home theater receiver in stereo.

Thanks for the humorous responses guys. I have learned a lot here and had some good laughs. I will try separates for my hair and let you know what I think. :)
