Upgrading my HT receiver

I started with a YamahaV663 that has performed flawlessly but that bad old upgrade fever is starting to strike. What are some receivers or integrated 7.1 amps I should look at? Say for $1000 or less. Or is the difference not going to be worth it unless I spend more which will NOT have WAF:) More power is one requirement. Do I really need all the decoding options the yammie offers?

Have you look into refurbish units? I just bought a $1000-1299 unit for $740.00 + 40 tax. I got a refurbish by Denon 3310ci. I just saw a denon 4310 go for $1009.00 on ebay, open box. If you want onkyo or marantz accesoriesforless have them refurbish.

both are great. and in regards to your current AVR the SC-25 or Onkyo will be a great improvment. I went from the same AVR to the SC-05 from Pio and won't look back. The amp section is fantastic, the features are great, and the price was a no brainer for what I got. The Onkyo is also great. I really like the MCACC for room correction but also heard great stuff for the Onkyo. Go out and see if you can get your hands on either model and try them out to see if you like one a bit better than the other ect
