Adcom gfa 555 or rotel rb 990 bx?

Hello guys,

so i have a pair of rtia7 that i want to give more power. And have heard a lot about the gfa 555, everybody loves them, but some people have said that for the rti a7 they might be too bright. One person suggested the rotel rb990bx and i do not know much about these.

For what i can see they both are rated at 200 wpc 8ohms. Is the 990 bx the same or better sounding? How about the rb1080?

I would be usin a pioneer elite vsx23 txh as pre.

    I would vote for the Rotel. Adcom is good but Rotel is better.

    Personally i'd go with the Rotel if your worried it would be a bit bright with the Adcom.
    I have some rtiA5's running on a rotel 1075. Of course it is not the same amp but it seems to do well with the rtia series. The highs are still a bit bright kinda like the rtia series is but the amp toned them down a little and got rid of any metallic sound.
