Moving sale Monitor 12s

We'll soon be moving back to the homestate of MN and I have promised to cut the audio-visual gear in half. I am in Kansas City area.

I am second owner of these Monitor 12s. They have no technical issues that I am aware of and sound as they were intended to (from what I can tell).

They are in excellent condition except for two issues with one speaker. The grill has many snags but don't show up on any picture. The rear right corner is dented. Despite the clarity of the picture, the dent is not really visible from a few feet.

The second speaker has no issues that I can see.

I would really really like a local purchase. I have all the boxes (not original) to ship, but it would be very expensive and risky given the weight. It would be a last resort.

$250 is pretty firm. Please pm me or email mms3rd@everestkc.net

A quick bump. Only been 2 days but I do have a fair bit of stuff to be moving. Thanks.
If they don't sell, I'll probably donate to a worthy cause.

Mike, what tweeter do these have? And where abouts are you moving to in MN, or are you trying to not take them with on the move? Im on the MN/WI border and would really like to have these.
Most of them only hear how loud it sounds, and the rest of us hear everything else -

The move is not until early fall...but there is a lot of stuff--our goal is to go from 3500 to 1500 sq ft...just 2 of us.

We will be in Twin cities area.

I believe 2500 is correct on tweeters..

The drivers (cones) are all in great shape. I did notice in taking off the grills that there is a crack or two in the plastic that holds the grill together. Polk went to plastic instesd of the composite ones. They do not affect appearance or function...one could super glue I Imagine....maybe I'll get that done.

Sorry not have given pic of drivers before. The boxes have gotten broken down and headed to recycling. Local is really a must at 60 pounds each. People have differing views on them, but the Polk older product page in this website has them as 5.0 with 8 reviews.

Mike ive got many polks but no 5's, like some nice series 2 7's. Fishing tackle ive got more than most though. If you dont sell these before you move, and you are willing to take them with you to the twin cities, I will drive down there and make it worth your time and energy.

    Good luck with your sale
