My wife and I finally broke down and got a decent Entertainment center after years of the same one. I recently thought about running a phantom center because of where my center channel was located (about 6" from the ceiling, lol) and instead my wife and I decided it was time for a new EC. We went to the furniture store here on base and were pleasantly surprised by the selection they had to offer. Any of you in the Military or have experience with furniture stores on base, know what I am talking about, lol. They just recently moved the store from it's humble little building to a huge unused hangar on base and I had no idea why until I went in there. They had Ashley furniture, Seally, Maytag, all the usual suspects and many models to chose from. Anywhoot, we decided on one that wasn't too big, but wasn't too small either. She fell in love with it right away, while I fell in love with a different one. After some contemplating I realized the bigger of the two would never work in our small living room and we got the one she had been looking at. It was $900 for the console and two 6' audio towers. They only had one of the audio towers in stock, so I have to wait for the other one to be delivered in a few weeks. It is Espresso colored and it is exactly what our living room needed. Hoping the pics I uploaded work, forgive the quality I took them with my cell phone and the lighting in the living room sucks. I have one with my Sony TV on the console with the audio tower to the left and you can just barely make out the left Monitor 70. While on the right you can see the "missing" audio tower, and the right Monitor 70. The CS2 is in the right top shelf and my Comcast HDDVR is on the right one (altough now they are switched since the CS2 was too far to the right, now it is more centered in the listening are) The other picture is a "close up" of the left audio tower with the Monitor 70 next to it, and you can just barely see my PSW125 to the left of that. The last picture is of the bottom half of the TV, and my components. The PS3 is down on the left bottom shelf, while my Onkyo TX-SR806 is on the bottom right. There is about 6" of clearance on my 806, which for now is enough. It hasn't gotten much hotter in there than it did when it was fully ventilated before. I may put it on one of the shelves of the right audio tower when it comes in, but we'll see. I will try to get some better pictures with my digital camera when I get a chance, and now I can finally put some shots of my HT in the System Showcase, lol. The way I had it all set up before I was too embarrased.

It looks great Jeff! What are you talking about, small livingroom? You're going to add another tower in there and still have room for your speakers on either side...lol...try that in my space...11.5' across (admittedly we have 25' of length--but that's got a game table behind the 11.5 x 16.5 AV area!! Ain't gonna happen....especially since it's really more like 10.5 where the TV is because the left wall has a protruding built in bookshelf that is 7.5 feet high and about 3' wide that reaches to the back wall.
So let me see...about 4' for the TV, another 2' for the Polk towers on either side. A cheap Walmart (100 dollar AV tower...bought on closeout for 25...what a steal)....about 2' wide and 2.5 feet left for the sub which is about 16" wide?
Nope....can't do your set up. But it sure looks nice!!
Glad your wife likes it. Mine would say..."what are we building in here...the Great wall of furniture?"

Nice, very nice! Those Sony SXRD TV's were really sweet and I wish they still made them. They were my favorite RPTV.
