Any input on these? How do they rate compared to SDA's? I really would like to hold out for a big ole set of SDA's, but if these guys are the real deal then I might have to go for it. I am currently have a pair of SDA 1A's, I am in process of learning about capacitors to redo the XO's. This deal came up, so I wanted to get some real input. The description sounds like a 7/10 on the Audiogon scale. $400 seem steep to me.

I recently got a very nice pair and they are not as good as my 10Bs or 10As. The 12s have gone to my rears and I have kept the 10s as my fronts in HTS. They do not use the same systems as the SDA speakers as many on here will explain in detail. I paid $250on ebay from owner/seller plus $100 for shipping as I recall...incredible packing.

Save your money for the SDA's, I'm not sure you will be satisfied with the M12's if SDA's are what you really want. $400 is kinda steep, especially if you are going to listen to them for a while and still wish you had a nice pair of SDA's.

NeilGabriel, Zitro, thanks for the input. I have a pair of 10 that I really LOVE!. If the 12s' can't come close to that, then now way. Specially $400 worth.

12s are nice speakers, some feel the bass is bloated but I did not. You can upgrade the tweets to 198s. I paid $175 for a pristine pair.
