Any way around no 12 volt trigger?

I have an SR4001 Marantz but no trigger is on this model even though i have all the pre outs. Is there any way to get the same effect without doing anything crazy to my AVR? Thanks in advance.

    Are you trying to power up an amp when the AVR is on? If so I sometimes use the AC switch outlet to power an small transformer 12vdc to power up an amp(s).

    I use the same thing disneyjoe is talking about. I got mine from Radio Shack. I got mine a few years ago so the link I provided is not the same as the one I have, but I think this is what you're looking for.
