    does that tweeter say polk?

If it does then i'd guess frankenstein speakers -- the woofers look like infinity/klh circa 1981 - 1984

    just my 2 cents

EDIT: Okay maybe not the same, the ones in Atlanta have a larger driver in the bottom.

Great drivers, so so cabinets. The S series was the precursor to the R series, and was offered as an entry level product. Polk sound, at a fair price.

Thanks guys,, I hadn't seen this model before. They look like older cabs with newer style drivers--I guess part of the transition from paper cones?

I believe that if the cabinets were constructed better, the payoff would be pretty high. The drivers and tonality are really nice the more I listen to that series. The grill frame also cheapens it up a bit for me.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Interesting...I'd love to check a pair out sometime.

There was a pair of S10's on my local CL a while back at a pretty decent price...now I'm thinking I should have picked them up to play around with...
