Hello everyone,

I'm trying to identify the model of these speakers that I got second-hand a while back, so I can replace one of the tweeters. I can't see any model number anywhere. Of course, for all I know, they might be fake...

I've attached photos of the speaker and the tweeter. If anyone can identify them from those, or tell me how to do so in some other way, that would be great.

Thanks very much -- and sorry if this is in the wrong place -- I dunno if they're 'vintage' or not!

Those are Polk Audio Monitor 5 with the Peerless tweeter. Very nice and welcome to Club Polk!

That what you have are Monitor 5s with the highly desired 'Peerless' tweeter.
The pictures are dark, but they appear to be in fine shape.
    And yes, they are vintage.
    Nice find and enjoy them,
    Nathan

I see Conradicles beat me to it.

Definitely Monitor 5's (though old/original line). I'm staring at a much newer pair of Monitor 5's on my desk right now. Very nice speakers.

Thanks very much, all of you, very helpful. And yes, they're a pretty sweet pair. Didn't cost so much either -- he didn't really know what he was selling, I didn't really know what I was buying. Worked out pretty well! Cheers.
