Shipping speakers and heavy audio equipment

I have a buddy who is hauling boats around the country, mostly west of the Mississippi. He's a responsible and resourceful sort that one could count on not to foul up a set of speakers or what have you. It occurs to me that someone here among us might want to have a nice craigslist find or Polk forum swap meet purchase sent that way rather than the alternatives.
Anyway, his immediate itinerary for the next week or two is Portland to Corpus Christy and then back north. A stop in San Diego is likely on the way down. He's flexable going south but I doubt that he'd deviate much from a direct route on the north bound trip.
Post here if you are interested.

Hello dcmeigs,
I'd be interested in seeking out more information. I've got a few irons in the fire and previous purchases in SoCal and Texas. I would assume I-5 South and 8/10 heading East.
My brother who is at Ft Hood picked up a pair of speakers earlier in the spring for me. If scheduling worked out, maybe they could meet up in San Antonio.
SoCal speakers are in Riverside and could have seller meet where convenient. I also have an 100 pound am sitting in LA as well. I had planned to pickup this summer while down visiting relatives, but it would be nice if I were able to workout something sooner.
PM me with contact info. The company I work for is based in Tualatin, so I am in the Portland Metro area a few times a month.
Regards,
Mike -
San Antonio to PDX would probably work. I'll PM some contact info. Riverside maybe, you can ask him.
Dallas would probably be too far out of the way; read too expensive. The world is full of answers, some are right and some are wrong. - Neil Young -

San Antonio would be close enough if I found something to be delivered.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)
