    Nice
"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Some intial impressions

    - much more "air" around the wires
    - conductors performance is more elevated
    - no more static cling
    - vaccuuimg is more effortless
    - they make me feel cool
    - they make my system look high-end, even though it's not
    - the system has a modern/industrial "feel" to it

These make my speakers sound more like speakers costing $463,231.16/pr. But seriously, for $5.35/ea, what's to lose?

You know what? They...look good! They certainly look much better and purposeful than droopy speaker cables going every which way, no matter what the brand. Aesthetically, you have a winner.

There are enthusiasts that actually do collect old line isolators of various makes and material construction. You may find them in antique stores as well. The history of them is directly related to the time they were manufactured, purpose and geographical use which is nerdly interesting if you like antiques. Just a nugget.

I bought some of those things and tried them out with an open mind.

After a lot of testing and critical listening, I couldn't say that they made any difference in how my speakers sounded, but I am pretty sure they made my carpet "sound" better.

    Maybe I installed them upside-down?

It's a tweak that is about as apparent as practicing good cable management. If your system is already quiet, you probably won't notice any difference. I'm not noticing anything different, at least not that I can be 100% certain about.

    Wrong method!

You need to suspend the speaker wires with used well broken in 1 pound black fishing line from the ceiling using sailor square knots every 11.6 inches.
