Anyone have any info, opinion, experience, advice, etc on the amp? I am looking to get a new amp as mine burned out. Someone locally has this for sale, and said to make him an offer. I was considering it, and have read a bit about it, but wanted some input from this forum. Also an approx value so I can decide what offer to make, would be helpful. Thanks. He also has a nikko alpha 450.

He also has a "matching" preamp. I didnt get the model number though, i think he might have said citation 17.

I used to own a HK Citation 16 and I still own a HK Citation 22. The before and after to the 19. Both amps were very gutsy - no lack of power in any respect although neither are the most musical amp I have owned. If you get one at a good price and need a lot of high current (the 22 produces 100 amps)(not watts) power then it is what you are looking for. If not then there are sweeter sounding amps out there.
    Good luck, Phil

Had two 19s in the early eighties, bridged them together and abused them 24-7, they just kept on ponding away no trouble out of any of them. Even pushed horns on a large PA at an outdoor show in 102 degree heat no telling what the ohm load was. There are better soundind amps but if you could get one for the cheap you should not pass these amps up they are so tough they should last you along time or until you move up the amp chain.
