I would like to have your take on the Onkyo A 9555. I have read a few good reviews on Audiogon and Stereofoul. I need a new toy with class D amp.
For $499.00 @ J & R , I can get the Onkyo A 9555 NIB or for a bit less than$1000.00 , I can get the Cary CAI 1 from an old seller, Danadrew over Audiogon. MOJO guy rated the A 9555A pretty good. Name brand does not matter since it mainly will be used for Pandora One internet radio listening.

I read the same reviews and they are interesting. The Onkyo VL design is intriguing. I know there are some units here in Beijing and I plan to cop a listen as soon as I can. If I get a chance to audition one I will post a response here. I assume you haven't seen or heard one either.
Perhaps someone else has? I'm sure that there will be a bunch of people jumping on the Cary bandwagon...those are good units. accessories4less is selling refurb units for 429?

Do me a real favor, please. Is there any way you can get a hold on the Onkyo A 9775 ( 100 WPC) oversea ? If you can, please let me know the cost including any expense to have the unit sent to zip code 77084 ? Thank you and have a nice week-end. -
I'll see what turns up,,,,haven't seen the higher model here yet. I know what you're thinking , the AVS guys were really bummed that the A9777 model was not available in the states...and I'm pretty sure that unit is 150 watts/channel. It has an extra power transformer in it,,,it shows in the extra weight.
