    This is outrageous! I would never handcuff a 12 year old girl. I often do, however, handcuff some of my girlfriends (all over 18, of course).

    Why would you spend more taxpayer dollars to have police (I assume) come and arrest a child for drawing.

    Some real hotheaded irrational thinking in this thread imo. Anger, pure anger which is what is wrong with the very situation we are discussing. How about a rational punishment based on a number of offenses. Wow, how innovative.

    How about just sending a kid home and let the parents do the disciplining. Novel idea isn't it? Now we have to have the government discipline our kids, on top of subsidized birth,food,telephones,internet,healthcare,cars,jobs, education, and now discipline. Might as well shove them off to the armed forces. Not a bad gig,why the hell am I still working?
    Seriously,are parents responsible for anything anymore? When you put it all down on paper,it becomes apparent how pathetic we have become. Doodling on a desk? When I was in school,a Nun would come by and whack my hand with a solid metal ruler, never wrote on a desk after that I assure you.
