Journey without Perry is not Journey.
    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

agreed on Journey, without Steve Perry is lame.. same as Styx, without Dennis Deyoung is not Styx. Don't know about Kansas if they are original members or not.

All are bands that should be remembered fondly (well I'm being kind when it comes to Journey!) and not have those memories destroyed by their current "we want to relive the rock&roll lifestyle, now where's the groupies" tours and presentation of the hit songs they had. JMHO.

it's nearly impossible to relive a bands hey days.... i mean.. yeah the fans age as the band does too. and rarely does a band from the 80's or another decade have any current hits.
I don't think if I were in Vegas I would go to that show.. unless tickets were extremely low priced, and for Vegas that would impossible.

Cool line up though. I'd probably go.

I had a blast several years ago when I went to an oldies concert for Frankie Valli & the 4 Seasons in Govt. Center in downtown Boston.

He couldn't hit the high notes to save his life & didn't even try. We all did it for him.:D

What freaked me out was the next morning when I discovered there were 100,000 of us all camped out in the front & back of City Hall!

Needless to say, that was the LAST oldies concert they held there & moved it to the Esplanade where they hold the 4th of July concert!:D

I saw a concert by Dennis DeYoung a couple of years back. It was entitled: "Dennis Deyoug, the Music of Styx."

    Gawd, it was good! :D

Styx is worth seeng as Tommy Shaw sang a lot of the tunes and Gowan does a fantastic job of the others and he even does a few of his solo songs as well. (Criminal Mind). I agree that DeYoung would be better but Gowan and the Styx do rock it out! Very strong stage show/performance.
