I am getting a "bleeding off" noise of static occasionally from my sda-srs 2.3tl. played it in stereo this morning, and very little sound coming out. put in a new fuse, and was like brand new again. I noticed tonight it started to do this bleeding again, and even does it when the stereo system is shut off. (for about 5-6 seconds after shutdown. bad cap bleeding out? I don't know. any suggestions? I have rebuilt the boards over a yr ago, and they have been flawless. they have been subjected to high volumes, never a problem. HELP!

New fuse? The 2.3TL's don't have a fuse.

I'd have to say you have a problem with your amp, not the speakers.

the amp has a fuse, Jesse, and if it was the amp, why would the speaker still have this noise when amp is shut off?

If the amp was shut off, the speakers wouldn't be making a noise. No signal.

    It's gotta be the amp.

OK, that wasn't clear in your original post. Most likely a bad cap(s) in the amp.

What amp.............many better designs don't have any sort of muting or limiting circuit and the caps will drain and make some noise unless you turn your equipment off in the correct order.

P.s. I will add if this just started then it most likely is a bad cap(s) somewhere. I had a similar issue in the soft start of a pre-amp. Once a few caps were replaced............just like new.
